Sheraton Centre Toronto Hotel is also happy to announce its partnership with Clean the World. Through this partnership they recycle bar soap, shampoo, conditioner, lotion and bath gel to create new amenity products. This initiative saves lives by donating bar soap to third world countries and domestic homeless shelters. This fits nicely with SCMS’ own Soap Drive initiative. We look forward to working with the Sheraton Centre Toronto this year.
LATEST HOTEL UPDATE
If you are having trouble securing a reservation at the Sheraton Centre Toronto, please read the information below. We don’t want to keep people from contacting the Sheraton altogether because some people are still getting through, depending on their arrival/departure dates and when people cancel. So try the official conference hotel first. For example, there are still some nights that have availability under the room block.
If you are unable to book a room at the Sheraton, SCMS can assist in making a reservation elsewhere:
For alternative accommodation, SCMS is working with A Room With a View to help secure accommodations at designated overflow hotels. This is a free service for all SCMS conference attendees. A Room With a View will secure the lowest available rates at the best available hotels within walking distance of the Sheraton Centre Toronto. Right now, they have extremely competitive rates at the Doubletree, Hilton and Marriott.
Something important to note—reservations processed by A Room With A View are automatically on a wait list for rooms at the Sheraton Centre Toronto should cancellations occur within the SCMS group block.
Please email firstname.lastname@example.org if you run into problems.
ROOM RATES AT THE SHERATON CENTRE TORONTO
SCMS also negotiated an Exchange Rate Guarantee–the hotel guarantees the maximum single/double rate will not exceed $169 USD.

Reservations will be accepted until the cut-off date of Wednesday, February 14, 2018 at 5PM local time (at hotel)—based on availability. However, reservations should be made as soon as possible as we expect the hotel to sell out early (well before the cut-off date).
If you have any problems, please email email@example.com.
A credit card guarantee equal to one night stay is required to hold each guest’s reservation at the time of reservation. A full refund will be given to cancellations received until 24 hours prior to arrival. For cancellations received within 24 hours of arrival, the deposit is nonrefundable.
The Sheraton Centre Toronto is committed to making their facilities, amenities and services accessible to guests with disabilities. Their goal is to ensure that guests with disabilities are able to have a wonderful stay. Accessible facilities and services available to our guests with disabilities include:
Accessible Public Spaces
Accessible Guest Rooms
The Sheraton will attempt to make reasonable modifications to their policies, practices, or procedures for guests with disabilities in order to provide them with access to the facilities and services our hotel has to offer.
Questions about the accessible facilities and services offered should be directed to the hotel at (1)(416) 361-1000. To submit feedback, guests can email 00271.AODA@sheraton.com or call (416) 947-4955 ext.4430.
When you book a hotel room it is best to (1) call the hotel directly and “block” your accessible room for the desired dates, (2) have the hotel email or fax you a confirmation noting the accessible room, and (3) call the hotel directly 24-48 hours in advance or your arrival to confirm your accessible room.
When calling the nationwide reservations call center for many hotel chains, they do not have the ability to “block” wheelchair accessible rooms with individual hotel properties. We recommended to call the hotel directly, and speak to the front desk to properly reserve and block your accessible guestroom.
If you require accessibility assistance to book your housing or if you have an problems/issues, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
We have continued the effort to organize child care options at the 2018 SCMS Conference. Tourism Toronto has suggested three options for childcare and babysitting:
• Babysitting Angels Childcare Services, 1.888.983.0123, email@example.com, http://www.babysittingangels.com/coreservices
Information, including contact numbers, rates, and rules, are available on their websites.
In addition, we have set up a forum for parents who may wish to join forces when booking sitters, or swap childcare amongst themselves, or discuss good child-friendly options (parks, restaurants, etc.) in Chicago. The forum can be found here (you must be signed in to access the forum).
We hope that these options will help parents have a productive and enjoyable conference in Toronto.
Unfortunately the conference is not able to provide formal child care services at the meeting.
Disclaimer: SCMS and the Hilton Atlanta assume no responsibility with respect to these services and accepts no liabilities related to the services provided.
